Who Is Eligible?
Savings for Those Who Need It Most in Southwestern PA
The Pennsylvania BRIGHT (Building, Renewables, Investing in Green, Healthy, Thriving) solar leasing program is specifically designed to reach low- to moderate-income (LMI) homeowners, making solar and battery storage more accessible to those historically excluded from the clean energy transition. The program’s income and geographic limits ensure that it focuses on those who stand to benefit most from solar energy but have the least ability to finance the upfront cost. The goal of this initiative is to reach 100 homes in eligible counties and it will be available until the program has hit that target.
The program is available to homeowners who:
- Earn less than $100,000 in household income.
- Reside in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, y Westmoreland counties.
- Reside in a Low-Income, Disadvantaged Community (LIDAC). Eligibility for LIDAC can be determined using this link.
