About Us

Andy Posner Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Andy Posner founded Capital Good Fund in February of 2009 while getting his Master of Arts in Environmental Studies at Brown University, where he was studying financing mechanisms for clean energy. After reading Banker to the Poor by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the 'Father of Microfinance' and 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, he quickly realized that equitable financial services could unlock the potential of the poor just as they could do the same for clean energy technologies. At the same time, as the financial crisis of 2008 began to unravel the economy and devastate low-income communities, Andy decided to take action. He created Capital Good Fund with an eye toward using financial services to tackle endemic poverty, first in Rhode Island, and then nationwide.

Andy is a firm adherent of Dr Yunus' dream to put poverty into museums; or, as Andy likes to put it, to put poverty out of business. Andy's work has been featured in Providence Business News, the Providence Journal, the Providence Phoenix, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's quarterly publication, the Rhode Island Small Business Journal, CNN and other print, radio and television media. He is also proud to be the Treasurer of the national Board of Directors of the Credit Builders Alliance, an organization of which Capital Good Fund is a member, as well as a member of the Board of the Community Reinvestment Fund, one of the largest nonprofit lenders in America..

Andy has published his ideas in the Huffington Post, the Stanford Social Innovation Review, and nearly a dozen poetry journals, to name a few examples. He was also selected as a 2011 Hitachi Yoshiyama Young Entrepreneur and a 2013 American Express Emerging Innovator (one of 45 globally), and a 2015 Rhode Island Foundation Nonprofit CEO Fellow. When not at work, Andy likes to blog, write poetry, ride his bicycle, and spend time with his beautiful wife Bianca, his son Richard, and his Beagle, Chance. Last but not least, he is proud to have been nominated for the 2019 Puschcart Poetry Prize for his piece The Machinery of the State .

Annie DicksonChief Operating Officer

Annie believes equitable access to resources is a key pathway out of poverty. Before moving back to Rhode Island in December 2016, she spent over three years in Port au Prince, Haiti, running operations for an ethical fashion company deux mains designs to create dignified, living-wage employment opportunities and offer job training. While earning a certificate in International Non-Governmental Organizations Studies, she worked for a non-profit in Haiti transitioning intentionally from disaster response-driven aid to innovative, community-led development. Annie received her B.A. in Anthropology and Political Science from Rhode Island College, a degree combination that has contributed both a human-centered approach and an element of advocacy to her experiences. While professionally she's spent time in the fashion industry, social enterprise development and now financial resources, the common factor is removing obstacles to economic empowerment.

While she loved working and living abroad, Annie is a New Englander at heart and is happy to be home in Rhode Island. Outside of work, she likes to cook, travel, discover new ethical fashion brands, and drink good coffee, but her very favorite thing to be is Auntie.

Jim MazjanisChief Financial Officer

Jim is excited to work at the Capital Good Fund because it is a unique organization, with talented, caring people, working hard to meaningfully impact on the lives of others. He is a strong believer that small advances add up quickly and make for big positive changes. Prior to coming to the Capital Good Fund, Jim worked with several local not-for-profit organizations. At Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, his role as Director of Analysis helped the organization make better data driven decisions. At Johnson & Wales University Jim served as Director of Financial Operations, reshaping the finance department with a focus on continuous process improvement. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

Jim has been calling Rhode Island home for over 20 years. He has been active in the community as a Little League Treasurer and Baseball and Soccer Coach. In his free time, Jim enjoys travel, sailing, scuba diving and swimming, and has completed the annual Save the Bay race from Newport to Jamestown on a number of occasions.

Kevin EgolfSenior Vice President, Investor Relations

Kevin is a long-time proponent of impact investing as a tool for positive social and environmental outcomes. He believes that financial capital and investments can be used as a force for good and to create change. This personal belief fits well with Kevin’s role as the Vice President of Investor Relations at Capital Good Fund. Kevin brings 15 years of experience in finance, impact investing and business development to Good Fund. Prior to his current position, he had an eight-year finance career in New York City working in both the investment banking and private equity industries. He then transitioned into impact and socially responsible investing where he spent over six years developing Iroquois Valley, an organic farmland benefit corporation, into a national recognized and awarded social enterprise. He is excited to support Good Fund down a similar path.

Kevin is a graduate of Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Computer Science and Economics. Outside of work, he can be found cooking, relaxing with his family, exercising, or on the wrestling mat. Kevin continues to promote and coach wrestling, a sport in which he actively participated through college. He currently coaches Nathan Bishop Middle School a 6-8 public school in Providence, Rhode Island. Kevin and his family are residents of Providence and especially enjoy the Creative Capital’s vibrant culinary scene.

Heiry BuluxSenior Director of Loan Origination

Heiry is the Senior Director of Loan Origination, graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology. Heiry started her journey with Capital Good Fund as a part-time Client Services Assistant and has grown into her position by really focusing on the Good Fund mission, committing herself to providing excellent customer service and embodying a supportive outlook amongst her colleagues. Throughout the course of her life, she has encountered many obstacles, many open doors and many closed doors. Each experience has been a learning opportunity about herself and the world around her. Every moment has helped shape her into the person she is becoming. Heiry has a great desire to help others. Whether it may be physically opening a door, spiritually offering prayers, mentally and emotionally problem solving, or helping achieve personal or developmental goal, she would like to be part of it for someone, anyone. She has a great compassion towards others and would love to express that compassion throughout her career. Receiving the opportunity at Capital Good Fund has been a great blessing for her, for she knows that as part of the team she will be helping others.

Aisha BusseyChief Business Officer

Aisha is an upstate, New York resident, originally from Atlanta, Georgia. Most recently, Aisha spent 6 years in Houston, Texas as a marketing leader and consultant for various companies, including The Home Depot and Francesca's. She graduated from Georgia State University, with a B.A. in Public Relations and Journalism. While her marketing experience stems heavily from the corporate world, Aisha is excited to invest her skills with Capital Good Fund to help further reach underserved communities. Aisha believes that knowledge is power and that if more people had access to better information and opportunities, lives and entire communities can be dramatically and significantly changed.

Aisha is active in her local church and enjoys engaging with the young people in the Children’s Ministry. She is also co-President of the Rochester, NY Chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc. (a national 501(c)(3) organization for mothers of color who are committed to serving each other, their children and their communities) and is a member of the Rochester, NY Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. (a national African American organization designed to bring together children in social and cuItural environments). If you’re ever looking for Aisha outside of work, you can probably find her at the gym, playing with her daughters and dogs or trying out a new eatery with her husband.

Chadria Major-ThomasSenior Human Resources Manager

Chadria comes to Capital Good Fund already a veteran in the nonprofit world. For the past ten and a half years she has poured her heart out serving school-age children of Providence in childcare/out of school time programs. What attracted her to Capital Good Fund was the mission of helping people get out of poverty. She has personal experience with the damaging effect of the poverty mentality that plagues many families and cripples them from having all that they should have. As the Human Resources Manager at Capital Good Fund, Chadria hopes to build relationships that support a healthy financial lifestyle and help people in any way possible. She enjoys splashing in puddles in her rain boots, reading in comfy places, and eating bacon!

Keith McNallyDirector of Loan Servicing

Keith is a life-long resident of Rhode Island and currently lives in Coventry with his wife, Michele and dog, Finnegan. He has enjoyed a career in the financial services industry for more than 30 years at institutions of various sizes and ownership structures. Keith is excited to bring his experience to Capital Good Fund and make a difference by helping clients build their pathway out of poverty.

When Keith is not cheering on the Red Sox or Patriots, he can be found outdoors, hiking, puttering in the garden or testing Finnegan on his latest tricks. When it’s time to head inside, it’s time for trivia.

Coptia WhiteSenior Director of Information Technology

Coptia first fell in love with computers in 1987 when her father brought home an Apple IIe. Her following years were spent toying with technology of all shapes, sizes and forms. After spending several years working in tech support, she attended the Art Institute, earning a bachelor’s degree in Web Design. She fell in love with programming while earning her degree and then enrolled in a web development immersive boot camp at General Assembly. Fresh out of General Assembly, she was drawn to Capital Good Fund because, having experienced poverty herself, she is passionate about the company’s mission. In her spare time, Coptia enjoys reading, writing and playing video games.

Kyle FlavinDirector of Credit

Kyle is a lifelong Rhode Island resident and recent graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Finance. Kyle excitedly joins Capital Good Fund after having spent nearly the last three years engaging with Rhode Islander’s as a Personal Banker for both Citizens Bank and BankNewport. During his time working in banking, Kyle was granted exposure into the depth of everyday challenges individuals are faced with in result of financial difficulties seemingly often stemming beyond their control. Kyle was drawn to Capital Good Fund by his desire to play a role in remedying these challenges, and through his alignment with the organization’s mission to utilize financial service solutions as a means to combatting poverty. In addition to working as a Credit Officer, Kyle studies Political Science at Rhode Island College with the hopes to eventually either earn a second bachelor’s degree or return to graduate school.

Roxana MercadoInterim Director of Loan Origination

Two years after Roxana’s birth in Bolivia, her family made a life changing decision that brought them to the United States. Roxana considers her life to be very Americanized, but she takes pride in her roots and the importance of keeping diversity alive. This very much derives the reason why Roxana found Capital Good Fund. Being an undeclared high school graduate, Roxana looked for humanitarian opportunities that could give her a sense of the work she wanted to dedicate herself to. For some time Roxana worked as an interpreter and translator in order to break language barriers for her local community. In June of 2016 Roxana found Financial Coaching at Capital Good Fund which made her realize her passion for social work. Financial Coaching has really impacted Roxana because she finds personal satisfaction in experiencing the third person perspective of her clients’ pathway to a stable financial life. Roxana is now a Loan Officer at Capital Good Fund and is pursuing her B.S.W. at Rhode Island College in Fall of 2017. She is also currently volunteering time to be part of the Coalition of Advocates for Student Opportunities, a team who focuses on creating equal educational opportunities for undocumented students. Roxana’s long term goal is to advocate for the low income and undocumented community nationwide.

Dimitri TeixeiraDevelopment Manager

Dimitri’s interest in nonprofit development began while he interned with the Providence Children’s Museum. He found it both exciting and fulfilling to build relationships with individuals and businesses who support a great cause and share the same values as him. From there, Dimitri further sharpened his fundraising and development skills when he worked alongside the Major Gifts Fundraising team at United Way of Rhode Island. Now, he joins Good Fund ready to help the organization continue to grow and further their mission. Good Fund’s mission resonates with him because he is a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, and his love of community and devotion to help others was instilled in him at a young age. He resides in Warwick, RI with two rambunctious and lovable dogs, Bella and Luna.

Jennifer Ventriglia Senior Accounting Manager

Jennifer was born in Connecticut and moved to the Ocean State during high school. She is currently attending Johnson and Wales, pursuing an accounting degree. Jennifer worked at Providence Performing Arts for years and in the private sector after that. She has a sweet rescue cat named George. Jennifer has volunteered for different causes over the years, and has decided to make it her line of work as Good Fund’s Senior Accounting Officer. Jennifer loves to cook, and will always enjoy a good mystery.

Bill WhiteSenior Credit Manager

Bill has been in the banking and finance industry for most of his professional career having worked for institutions such as Citizens Bank, Embrace Home Loans and RI Housing. He also owned and operated his own mortgage company specializing in reverse mortgages for five years. In 2014 he made the decision to devote the second half of his professional career to work in the non-profit sector using his expertise and experience helping people navigate an ever changing financial puzzle. Since 2014, Bill has worked for the Community Health Charities of New England and United Way of Rhode Island raising money. He also was a Site Coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program at The Federal Hill House in Providence in 2017 and 2018. In May of 2019 he graduated from Roger Williams University with a Masters in Public Administration.

Bill is a lifelong Rhode Islander and grew up in Westerly, RI. He currently lives in South Kingstown with his wife Kathy and two teenage children. His hobbies include gardening, reading and, whenever possible, spending his weekends at the beach.

Lawerence AldrickSenior Business Development Manager

Lawerence (LA) is a Brooklyn, New York native residing in Massachusetts since graduating from Howard University with a degree in Finance. LA joined Capital Good Fund in May 2020 in a new role as the first Business Development Manager for the organization. LA brings many years of business development/relationship management experience within the financial services space. His experience has covered commercial banking, commercial mortgage banking, residential mortgage banking, small business banking and higher education publishing.

LA is often asked the question, “what do you do for work” and his response is always, “what do you need?” He states this is always a good way to break the ice and get the conversation going on his experience and various business connections. Based on his experiences, LA is laser focused on delivering equitable financial alternatives with new business and current business partners within our markets of Rhode Island, Delaware, Florida, Massachusetts, and Illinois as well as potential areas for expansion across the US.

When not engaged with customers, LA enjoys traveling, cooking and relaxing with his family. He also enjoys working out but misses his martial arts training due to an injury. LA is a board member of the Hebron Food Pantry, a working persons and senior’s food pantry serving the Greater Attleboro, Massachusetts area by providing resources to reduce food insecurity. LA is also actively involved with community outreach activities with the Boston Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Lysette TakorSenior Accounting Clerk

Lysette was attracted to Capital Good Fund because the mission of the organization aligns with her values of gratitude, justice and respect for all people and for the planet. Raised with a strong sense of community, Lysette believes everyone should make some sacrifices for the sake of the common good of the local and worldwide community. Her guiding principle is " all things you want done to you, you must do to others." The reverse is true as well.

After receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Lysette spent a few years working in the banking industry in Montreal, Canada. Later, she joined the New York City Department of Education assisting in coordinating operations in 250 Manhattan public schools, with a focus on equity and sustainability . She is happy to pursue similar goals in Rhode Island while working with Capital Good Fund to reduce opportunity gaps in our society while advancing a green economy.

Her favorite moments outside of work are spent volunteering with her husband, where they care for the physical and spiritual needs of the young and the old. She also cherishes time spent with family and friends, especially Grandma, who lives in Cameroon and her niece and nephew in Ghana.

Esteban AlvarezLoan Processor Specialist

Esteban is a Floridian through and through. His passions are simple: helping people, enjoying nature, and above all else being a father. For as long as he can remember, people have been his heart. He strives to always make a positive difference in the lives of those around him. He believes that no matter the situation you find yourself in, there is always an opportunity to better yourself and lift up others.

When Esteban is not at work, you will find him hanging out with his six-year-old daughter who is the most amazing child in the world, no bias of course! They will be serving at their Church, walking down the beach, or wandering the woods every opportunity they get. Marie CabreraSenior Loan Servicing Specialist

Marie is a Loan Servicing Specialist at Capital Good Fund. Before diving into the nonprofit world, Marie was a customer service specialist for Sovereign Bank where she helped customers develop their financial strategies and better manage their money. After obtaining her B.A in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University, she started her legal work in immigration law working hand in hand with attorneys helping people accomplish their dreams of legalizing their status in the United States. Marie’s family is originally from the Dominican Republic, so she experienced first hand the value of keeping families together. She also spent some time living in Florida, where she continued to facilitate immigration services as the Director of Immigration Services for Gerardin Law Firm. She obtained the majority of her non-profit experience as an employee at Progreso Latino, where she realized how satisfying and rewarding it is to give back to the community. Now that she has broaden her skills and experiences, she is ready to continue her hard work and dedication at Capital Good Fund working for the Loan Servicing Department where she will contribute to satisfying clients needs.

Mariline ChantreSenior Loan Servicing Specialist

Mariline Chantre was born in Cape Verde, but moved to Rhode Island in 2009. She attended Community College of Rhode Island for two years, and then transferred to New England Institute of Technology where she became a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management and technology, in May 2017. Mariline has volunteered for Nonprofit organizations such as Foster Forward, where she completed the training process in 2015, and worked as an intern at Capital Good Fund. She is passionate about her job, and she has developed a strong sense of devotion for the Nonprofit sector. She hopes to make a difference, and have a positive impact in the community that is often overlooked or underserved.

Cindy DiazLoan Servicing Specialist

Cindy Diaz was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the United States, first in the Bronx, NY before her family settled in Providence, Rhode Island. Cindy grew up on the south side of Providence in the 90s with her two siblings and parents. She comes from a hard-working family who always assured they were never hungry or without a home.

Cindy graduated from Johnson & Wales University in May of 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. While she didn't end up using her degree, she was always a great fit in customer service, leading her teams in service across past roles. She enjoys being the example to her teams of how to be empathetic and how to speak to others with kindness to de-escalate potential problems.

Raul PalaciosLoan Closer

Raul is another dedicated Capital Good Fund Team Member with strong Florida connections. His early development years took place in the heart of Little Havana where he was a first intrinsic account witness to the trials and tribulations of a hardworking and resourceful immigrant community, this way of life was captured realistically and vividly in one of his favorite programs “Que Pasa USA”. He attended the quintessential Miami Senior High School, moving on to college, while also working to help with the household budget. His professional career actually began in the Travel Industry where he had an opportunity to visit diverse destinations giving him perspective and reflection on how different populations carry out daily living conditions. Most recently he has been involved in community outreach within the Central Florida region where he experienced the migration of residents from Puerto Rico and other Caribbean Islands due to the Hurricanes and other major storms of 2017. These events where a catalyst and impetus prompting him to find a viable and impactful way to assist these new residents to the area. On the personal front Raul most values time with his incredible wife, family, and friends, he prefers state parks to theme parks any day of the week, and takes off to the beach whenever possible. You’ll also find him seeking rare finds at used bookstores, or catching up on the latest TED talks.

Janet BenitezFinancial Coaching Manager

Janet is an achiever for the goals she has set in her life. The journey leading to Capital Good Fund has come with trials and rewards, but doors opened for this opportunity. She believes everything has a purpose and timing and is excited to make an impact in people's lives, whether it's providing financial advice or spiritually offering prayers. Yolanda ContrerasLoan Officer

Yolanda is the new loan officer in our Chicago office. She is a lifelong resident of Chicago and was born and raised in the “Windy City”. Her parents migrated from Mexico to the U.S. in the 70’s. Early on in her career, Yolanda spent four years as a property manager where her job was to help people find the perfect apartment with rental assistance. In 2007, she decided to change careers and moved to the consumer lending industry. Yolanda has over 10 years of financial services experience. Her experience includes helping people find the best mortgage loan, car loan and personal loan while focusing on meeting the customers’ needs. As a hobby Yolanda enjoys traveling and is super excited to be a part of the Capital Good Fund team.

Julissa MendezGreen Lending Specialist

Julissa was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to Providence, Rhode Island with her parents and two brothers at the age of 3. Her greatest inspiration is her mother, who became single shortly after arriving in Rhode Island. Her mother, who is Guatemalan, raised her and her two brothers in a Christian environment and set a good example to be kind and compassionate.

The desire to help her community was instilled when she and her best friend traveled to Guatemala and volunteered for a Christian Ministry called Hope of Life International. This ministry, which rescues children and families from the grips of poverty and illness, had a great impact in her life.

Julissa is excited and grateful to have joined the Capital Good Fund family. She is looking forward to growing in an organization that is compassionate about helping people out of poverty.

Jenny Nunez Loan Servicing Specialist

Jennifer was born and raised in Rhode Island. Her family is from the Dominican Republic and she herself lived in Dominican Republic for a short time in her teenage years. She attended New England Institute of Technology where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management and technology in May 2013. She graduated with her MBA from University of Phoenix in October 2016.

Jennifer has always worked in customer service and in the financial services department. She enjoys helping and speaking with customers. She always finds the positive in a situation and likes to provide a peace of mind to customers. She is big on volunteering and being a team player. She has volunteered at Women & Infants, RI food banks, school volunteers and community centers around Providence.

Alicia MullingsCredit Specialist

Alicia was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She moved to NYC to attend undergrad at Brooklyn College (CUNY) where she completed her BS in Business Management and Finance. Alicia then moved to Florida, for grad school, where she currently resides.

Alicia worked as a Credit Analyst for a few years, where she gained the experience of analyzing loans and financial documents. She also volunteered and worked as a Tax Accountant- preparing tax returns, mostly serving the low income community. This allowed her to see first hand, the struggles faced by a select group of people in this country.

Ece EsikaraData Analyst

Ece (pronounced as Edgehe) is originally from Istanbul, Turkey. She came to Massachusetts to study at Brandeis University. For her undergraduate degree, she studied political science and economics. She then continued her studies at Brandeis Business School and did a Masters in International Economics and Finance with a focus on data analytics. After her graduation in May 2020, she held different positions in companies and start-ups varying from UI/UX Intern to Business Management Associate. Ece was drawn to Capital Good Fund because of her commitment to social justice and her belief in its mission and core values. Dianne WaddellCredit Officer

Dianne is a native Rhode Islander. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from, North Carolina Central University, and her experience includes over 20 years in the Lending field. That entails mortgages, student loans, personal and business lending. Dianne has spent at least half in the Banking Industry and the other half in the Non-Profit arena.

She remembers when Capital Good Fund was established in 2009 and how its mission really piqued her interest. The goal to eliminate the gap in finance with low to moderate people or as Andy puts it, “put poverty out of business”, is something she really believes in. Dianne has been fortunate to be able to address that issue in many of her previous Credit Analysis positions. Once the pandemic hit, Dianne decided to look for a new role with purpose that she believed in. To her surprise, an opening became available with Capital Good Fund, which she immediately put an application in for and was thrilled to join the team as Credit Officer!

Damian EspinozaCredit Officer

Damian was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. He grew up in a big and loving family that shaped who he is today. He attended the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) where he completed his BS in Finance. Damian worked as a Credit Analyst for a few years, where he gained the experience of analyzing loans and financial documents. Past roles also included a personal banker position, where he aimed to provide the best customer service possible. This, along with other experiences, helped him see the problems people face every day and ultimately made him decide to keep this path in helping individuals with financial problems. Damian is thrilled to be part of the Capital Good Fund and hopes to keep helping families that needed it the most.

Billy McEneryIT Operations Specialist

Billy has twelve years of experience in the Information Technology field and Financial Industry. He is a graduate of The New England Institute of Technology with a degree in Network Engineering. He started his career as the 2008 financial crisis was developing. He saw its impact on the financial industry and customers dependent on a fair and a just economic system. He eventually wanted to bring his knowledge and experience to a non-profit organization and it so happened that The Capital Good Fund was growing and it became a perfect opportunity to marry his belief in social justice and economic equality with his IT and financial background.

Before his career in IT, Billy worked as a chef. His experience working in a kitchen with many immigrants broadened his worldview and his appreciation for those who came here to make a better life for themselves and families. Before that, he caddied at a local golf course, starting at 10-years-old, and eventually became the Caddy Supervisor. These jobs provided him with opportunities to work with many people from all walks of life and economic situations. His biggest motivation is to help leave a healthy planet and more tolerant society to his two boys.

When not at work you can find Billy playing video games, reading comic books, and listening to Hip Hop. He enjoys playing golf and basketball. He is a lifelong Rhode Islander who cannot imagine not living near the beach and loves hiking and exercising.

Leonor TavarezLoan Closer Specialist

Leonor is a Providence native who is passionate about serving her community at any capacity. Growing up, Leonor lived in a single parent household with 2 siblings. Leonor’s parents were the first of her large family to settle into to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic. However, despite all the challenges that entailed Leonor admired her mother's passion and willingness to give back to her community.

At an early age, Leonor learned through her mother's experiences that even when we hit obstacles, there is still room to wholeheartedly give back. She realized anything was possible. Because of this, Leonor found great satisfaction in servicing others; from the young age of 14 working for the Franciscan nuns serving breakfast, to her most recent role at a nonprofit; enrolling disabled Rhode Island residents into a full service health program. Leonor also took a year to focus on her personal and professional development and attended programs at the Center for Women and Enterprise and the Latina Leadership Institute. After this year, Leonor found herself filled with new found inspiration which lead her to Capital Good Fund.

Leonor looks forward to providing excellent customer service and carrying out the organizations mission. When Leonor is not working or tickling her 6-year-old daughter, she enjoys visiting museums, listening to music while creating art, sitting out in nature (when Rhode Island weather permits) and traveling.

Leslie VenturaLoan Processor

Leslie was born in Monterrey, Mexico to a loving set of parents who decided to pursue the American dream by immigrating to the US. Leslie was only one year old by the time her parents decided to settle down in Dallas, TX (which is where her heart is). Coming from a very humble and hardworking family, Leslie knows the struggles and hardships the lower-income and undocumented community experiences. Before Capital Good Fund, Leslie was working as a leasing agent where she helped lower-income families get approved for a brand new apartment. There she realized her passion and desire to help people. On her off time, Leslie loves hiking, working out, and spending time with her family. Leslie will continue to advocate for the undocumented community.

Julia ScullyCommunications Manager

Julia is a Denver, Colorado resident, originally from the east coast. Prior to joining the Capital Good Fund team as Communications Coordinator, Julia spent the last 6 years in the corporate communications space, working with a range of clients during her time on the agency side of things. She graduated from Elon University with a BSBA in Marketing from the Martha & Spencer Love School of Business and a minor in Environmental Sustainability. Julia is thrilled to bring her experience to Capital Good Fund to help support the organization in its continued growth. Outside of work, Julia enjoys all that Colorado has to offer: hiking, skiing, and adventuring with her dog, Wallace.

Ydenise FrancisoCustomer Service Specialist

Ydenise was born to two immigrant parents. Her mother is originally from the Dominican Republic and father also from the Dominican Republic with roots extending to Haiti. The youngest of five and the only American born in her household, Ydenise became very familiar with daily struggles and learning what it was to sacrifice for the better good. Ydenise’s parent divorced early on leaving her mother to take care of five children on her own. Seeing her mother’s struggle; working long strenuous hours at minimum wage with no educational background, she learned what it meant to be a strong and independent woman at a very early age. Thanks to her upbringing she learned how to keep going even when things seemed grim.

Ydenise has worked with several charities and has donated her time to helping the homeless. Ydenise graduated from Devry University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Technical Management, specializing in Criminal Justice. She is currently enrolled at Rider University working towards becoming a Board Certified Career and Life Coach in hopes of possibly receiving her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Ydenise has a passion for helping others become better, which is what attracted her to Capital Good Fund. Knowing what the company stands for, working for Good Fund was an opportunity she could not let pass her by.

In her spare time Ydenise loves to read, teach Zumba and exercise (A LOT). She absolutely loves to dance, and enjoys interacting with new people. Ydenise is currently fostering and in the process of adoption.

Chance PosnerChief Canine Officer

Chance has been a good boy since 2012. Born in Alabama, he moved to his adoptive home of Rhode Island in 2015, whereupon he joined the Good Fund staff. He slowly worked his way up until, in October 2018, he was promoted to Chief Canine Officer. In his role, Chance focuses on greeting staff and clients, as well as taking team members on walks to help relieve stress. In his free time, of which he has little, Chance enjoys chewing bones, sleeping, snuggling, and resting in a puddle of sun.
