Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Customer Service Representative is a core member of the Lending Team who reports directly to the Customer Service Specialist, whose responsibilities include but are not limited to:

● Answer incoming phone calls to Good Fund’s direct line; transfer and route calls to the intended recipient, take messages, or redirect the caller.

● Answer incoming online messages through our chat service portal

● Report messages accurately on our CRM software, notifying the appropriate team member(s).

● Respond to incoming emails for the Loan Origination team’s shared email.

● Download and sort incoming client documentation; notify the appropriate team member(s). Documents may be received in person or via email.

● Practice responsible document or information sharing processes to ensure the privacy and security of our clients

● Provide prompt, friendly, courteous and empathetic customer service, to clients interested in lending services and redirect coaching or servicing questions as needed

● Pre-screen interested clients for eligibility, advise on next steps and guide them through the lending process

● Be an excellent representative of Good Fund - our mission, products, and community

● Sit at reception, greet and communicate with all clients who walk-in to the Providence office

● Other administrative tasks as needed

This position is in-person in the Providence, RI office Monday through Friday. This role follows all COVID-19 policies for public health and safety measures, including terms and conditions of employment. This role requires proof of COVID-19 vaccine. Masks are required in all shared spaces, and one will be provided at no cost to you.

This position requires tasks that involve lifting/carrying supplies such as laptops or files; walking (including stairs), standing, and sitting for lengths of time.

This position provides the ability to work a flexible schedule with some in office days and some remote days as necessary per supervisor or department head discretion.

Training and Compensation:

The Customer Service Representative will receive extensive training on all of Good Fund’s systems, policies, procedures and loan products.

This is a part-time thirty hour-per-week position. The Customer Service Representative will earn an hourly rate of $19.71/hour.

Texas Program Manager

Summary

Capital Good Fund is seeking a Program Manager to support the DoubleGreen Loan program in Houston which will provide low- to moderate-income homeowners with affordable and credit-building capital to make their home safer, healthier, more resilient, and less expensive to operate.. The Program Manager will build and manage a program to cultivate and nurture relationships with customers, solar installers, electrification contractors and preparedness contractors in the state of Texas. In addition, the Program manager will assist homeowners with contractor selection, scheduling, and management, with the goal of removing barriers to sustainable resiliency and electrification. Ultimately, the Program Manager’s role is to facilitate the process of installing solar panels, battery backup systems, high-efficiency HVAC, water heaters, roof repairs, insulation, ductwork, and other critical energy efficiency and preparedness measures in underserved Houston families.

This program is funded through a grant from JP Morgan Chase and has a specific goal to provide 50 low- to moderate-income homeowners with affordable, credit-building capital and capital and cash incentives to make their home safer, healthier, more resilient, and less expensive to operate.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be included as assigned.

● Perform outreach to create a network of contractors, installers and fulfillment partners

● Act as point of contact for all prospective clean energy, electrification and resiliency customers

● Perform analysis and connect the homeowners with appropriate fulfillment partners as needed

● Act as a liaison between Capital Good Fund, and the fulfillment partners

● Act as an advocate for the customers

● Provide clients with financing information and guide applicants through loan approval process when appropriate

● Work with Capital Good Fund’s Business Development team to educate and guide contractor partners through our loan process and requirements

● Communicate with Capital Good Fund team (Loan Origination, Business Development and other departments) as it relates to partner and client questions

● Provide ongoing tracking and reporting of assessments completed and prospects identified in accordance with JP Morgan Chase grant and Capital Good Fund reporting.

● Monitor progress of program and homeowner satisfaction throughout assessment process

● Create reports to track homeowner outreach, engagement, meetings, assessments, loan applications, and project success

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

● Minimum of 2 years experience working in renewable energy, energy efficiency, general construction, sales or business development and/ or experience working in community engagement, advocacy or education

● Strong written and verbal communication skills

● Passion for working with people from diverse backgrounds

● Strong customer service skills

● Ability to track and manage multiple projects simultaneously

● Flexibility; willingness to adapt to a dynamic environment

● Willingness to travel around the Houston area and throughout the state of Texas if necessary

● Familiarity and comfort working with spreadsheets

● Must have access to transportation and willing to travel

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

● Deep understanding of energy reduction, renewable energy programs, and home assessments

● Strong knowledge and experience with community outreach and organizing, with a focus on underserved communities

● Previous experience with HVAC/ solar installers, electricians, roofers and general contractors

● Some understanding of additional languages such as Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese or Creole, preferred but not required

● Related certifications

● Community / political organizing experience

● Familiarity with customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce.com

● Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Political Science or related field preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be strongly considered.

Physical Requirements

This is a full time forty hour-per-week position. The Program Manager will earn an annual salary of $59,160.

Financial Coach

Job Description/Responsibilities

Summary: The Financial Coach’s primary responsibility is to provide holistic one-on-one Financial Coaching to participants, following the Good Fund curriculum. The coach will successfully build and manage trusting relationships with individual participants, prepare and deliver workshops in a variety of Financial Coaching topics and settings, and track and manage client payments. The Coaching curriculum covers topics such as debt management, credit building, budgeting, savings, banking, and related areas such as health and wellness.

In this role, the Financial Coach will:

● Provide one-on-one financial and health coaching in-person and remotely to participants, from inquiry, to credit checks, and relationship maintenance such as check-ins and surveys;

● Establish and maintain trusting relationships with participants, and develop actionable plans and provide resources to support the client in reaching their financial wellness goals;

● Deliver prepared financial knowledge workshops to groups of 5-500 either in-person or remotely, using a variety tools such as PowerPoint, projectors, and Zoom, in English or Spanish;

● Assist the Manager and Director in developing relationships with community partners;

● Collaborate with coworkers to maintain and strengthen coaching curriculum and program offerings;

● Ensure data integrity by taking detailed notes and correctly entering all client data into our customer database and periodically auditing for accuracy, ensuring Development has the data they need to report to funders;

● Maintain participant confidentiality by following all security and communications standards when working with sensitive data or information.

● Must be comfortable public speaking and presenting, both in-person and virtually, to groups of up to 500, in both English and Spanish

Curriculum knowledge, such as interpreting a credit report, and developing debt management plans, will be reinforced and practiced by working directly with clients in the initial six weeks of hiring.

This is a full time forty hour-per-week position. The Financial Coach will earn an annual salary of $41,000.
