Job Description/Responsibilities:
Summary: As a nonprofit lender, Good Fund capitalizes itself in several ways: loans to its loan fund, out of which it makes loans to its borrowers; sales of loans to impact investors; loans in the form of “growth capital” to its subsidiary, Social Capital Fund, which are used for operational expenses associated with scaling; traditional philanthropic giving in the form of grants and donations; and earned income.
The job of the Vice President of Investor Relations (“VPIR”) is to help Good Fund raise debt capital. Specifically, in this role, the VPIR will:
● Work with the CEO to create and maintain a robust investor prospect list
● Reach out to, and meet with, potential investors (electronically and in-person)
● Attend conferences, symposia, and other events to network with potential investors
● Prepare reports, due-diligence packages, and proposals as requested by investors
● Provide regular updates to existing investors on topics such as social impact, financial performance, and expansion
● Manage investor records within Good Fund’s systems
● Coordinate with other internal departments on matters relating to existing and potential investors, including the Accounting and Development Teams

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
● Have excellent writing and analytical skills
● Have experience with financial transactions and instruments such as private placements and special-purpose vehicles
● Be detail-oriented
● Be highly proficient in the use of Excel and/or Google Sheets
● Be comfortable reading and explaining financial statements such as a balance sheet
● Have five years of relevant experience
● Understanding of impact / social investing
● Experience with a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, such as Salesforce.com
Physical Requirements:
● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
● Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
● Must be up to date with CDC-recommended COVID-19 vaccinations
Training and Compensation::
The VPIR will receive extensive training on all of Good Fund’s systems, policies, procedures and loan products.
This is a forty-hours-per-week position with a flexible schedule.
In addition, the VP of Investor Relations will receive a competitive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan with dollar-for-dollar employer match of 3% of gross earnings with a minimum contribution of 1%, medical insurance with a $500/month employer subsidy, dental insurance fully covered by employer, 5 paid personal days per benefit year, 15 paid vacation days in the first year on staff, and the opportunity to apply for personal loans of up to $2,000 at 0% interest.
