About The Capital Good Fund:
Capital Good Fund (Good Fund) is a social change organization whose mission is to provide equitable financial services that create pathways out of poverty. As a non-profit, certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we offer low-income families one-on-one Financial & Health Coaching and personal loans of up to $20,000. Since our founding in 2009, we have financed nearly 1,500 loans totaling $1.8 million and graduated over 1,000 people through our Financial Coaching program.

Responsibilities:
The job of the Web Developer is to assess the strengths and address the weaknesses of our online user experiences, improving them for clients, staff and supporters.
• Serve as primary interface designer for our online Client Portal
• Collaborate with other key staff members on the style and design of both existing and forthcoming Client Portal features
• Maintain existing and Implement new features for the capitalgoodfund.org site (built in Expression Engine) and online Client Portal (built in Magentrix)
• Hold regular UX reviews with stakeholders from Lending and Coaching Teams

About You:

You must:
• Be a self-starter with an impeccable eye for detail
• Be expert in HTML/CSS, proficient in Javascript
• Be able to demonstrate a history of appealing web development projects

Preferred background or experience:
• 1-2 years of experience (or equivalent degree) in web development or related field
• Strong literacy in the Spanish language is a plus
• Proficiency in back-end development with PHP or similar, jQuery
• Experience working on projects under pressure and with tight deadlines

Training and Compensation:
The Web Developer will receive extensive training on all of Good Fund’s systems, policies and procedures, as well as on Good Fund’s products and services. The Web Developer will also work closely with experienced systems staff until such time as he or she is proficient in the responsibilities of the role.

This is a 25 hour-per-week position. The Web Developer will earn an annual base salary of $22,557.68, and five years of relevant experience will raise the base salary to $24,807.68. In addition, the Web Developer will receive a competitive benefits package that includes a bus pass, medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, five paid sick days and fifteen days paid time off in the first year on staff. Preferred start date is March 13, 2017.

Loan Servicing Officer

Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Loan Servicing Officer’s role is to maximize the social impact and financial performance of our loan portfolio by working closely with our clients. Periodic check-ins are key to clients making the most of the services we offer, paying on-time and building credit. We emphasize a high quality of service while ensuring the long-term sustainability of our loan fund. The Loan Servicing Officer carries out our collections strategy while fully complying with federal and state regulations of debt collection. The Loan Servicing Officer will perform a variety of duties, including:
- Service loan accounts and work with existing clients to meet goals
- Check in with clients to survey changes in family, finance, and health
- Improve the collections process and add to the organization’s best practices
In debt collection
- Report on collections activities, social impact and financial performance as needed

About You:

Preferred Skills and Background:
- Experience in, or understanding of, financial services and consumer debt and credit
- Experience working in low-income/distressed communities
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations where applicable (FACTA, FDCPA, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Training, and Compensation:
The Loan Servicing Officer will receive extensive training on all of Good Fund’s systems and loan products. Additionally, the Loan Servicing Officer will be trained on how to read a credit report, review bank statements, and comply with relevant federal and state regulation.
This is a full-time, forty-hour-per-week position. The Loan Servicing Officer will earn an annual base salary of $36,092.28, and five years of relevant experience will raise the base salary to $39,692.28. In addition, the Loan Servicing Officer will receive a competitive benefits package that includes a bus pass, medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, fifteen days paid vacation, and five days paid sick leave in the first year on staff.

Loan Officer

Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Loan Officer works with prospective clients to guide them through the process of applying for a loan at Capital Good Fund, services existing borrowers, and works with the lending team to grow the business. In this role, the Loan Officer will:
- Respond to inquiries from potential clients by phone, email, and online chat.
- Process applications for clients applying for a loan.
- Provide clients with feedback to improve their financial situations.
- Connect clients with our Financial Coaching program and other community resources.
- Report on various aspects of the program as needed.

This is a full-time, forty-hour-per-week position. The Loan Officer will earn an annualized base salary of $36,000. In addition, the Loan Officer will receive a competitive benefits package that includes a cell phone, bus pass, medical and dental insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan.
